Tucked away on a working farm, Stanway Grounds Shepherd’s Hut is a peaceful, character-rich Cotswolds escape with a real front-row seat to the countryside. From the comfort of bed, you can spot horses and sheep grazing nearby and, if you time it right, watch the GWR steam train crossing the viaduct — one of those moments you don’t forget in a hurry.

Step outside with a coffee and take in the views towards the Stanway fountain, with fresh air and birdsong all around. You’ll also find fantastic walking routes from your doorstep, linking up with trails that connect to the Cotswold Way — ideal for slow mornings, muddy boots, and proper switch-off time.

Inside, the hut is cosy and thoughtfully laid out, with an open-plan space that includes a super-comfy double bed, a dining area, a small kitchen, and an en suite shower room. Outside, there’s plenty of space to sit out, enjoy an al fresco meal, and soak up the sounds of the farm. As evening falls, switch on the festoon lights for a warm, snug finish to the day.
